September 4, 2014

Hello Memorial Families,
Happy first day of school to all our of kindergarten and preschool students!  We were so happy to see all of their smiling faces as they arrived!   A huge thank you to our fantastic parent volunteers who hopped aboard the Kindergarten buses and accompanied the children to and from school today. To those who will be doing so for the next couple of days, thank you in advance.

Welcome PreK student and families!

On Tuesday and Wednesday, our preschool staff welcomed in their new and returning students and their families to preschool orientation.  Everyone had the opportunity to meet the teachers, see the classroom, and explore the various toys and activities the teachers had prepared.  Thanks to all who were able to attend.

Dismissal Changes
If there is going to be a change in your child's dismissal schedule, please utilize the green notepads to inform the school.  Notes should be sent in on the day of the change and should include your child's first/last name and details regarding the change in routine.  The office staff thanks you in advance!

Parents, guardians and all other individuals picking up a child for an early dismissal or at the end of the school day should be prepared to show a picture ID to one of our staff members.  This routine has been established to provide a safe and secure environment for the children within our care.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Parent Information Night (PIN)
Please mark your calendars for the Memorial School's Parent Information Night. PIN will be held on September 16th from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  There will be a parent presentation from 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the gymnasium during which time the principal, CSA, MCPE and SEPAC representatives will  speak briefly.  Upon completion, parents of students in kindergarten and first grade will be invited to visit their child's classroom and hear from the teacher.  We hope that you will be able to join us.
