Today at Memorial, first grade students explored the properties of solids and liquids through hands-on exploration.  Working with teachers and parent volunteers, the kids made predictions about the magnetism and hardness of objects as well as whether they rolled or stacked and would sink or float.   They recorded their predictions and then tested their theories.  Thanks to all of our volunteers!

Dear Memorial Families,

On Friday, November 4th, kindergarten and first grade students attended a PTO sponsored Veterans Day assembly.  Thank you to Captain and Cadet Wilson for teaching us about veterans, the five branches of the military and the meaning of freedom.  We loved singing patriotic songs and seeing photos of the many different ways that members of the army, navy, marines, air force and coast guard serve our country.

Thank you to all veterans who are serving or who have served our country.  We are so grateful for your service.
