Memorial School Site Council - Attention Kindergarten Parents
We are looking for a Kindergarten Parent Representative for the Memorial School Site Council. Meetings are held four times per school year (October, January, March and May) and begin at 3:45 p.m.
Established by the Education Reform Act of 1993, the Site Council consists of parents, school personnel, and a community member for the purpose of advising the building principal on the following issues:
1.Adopting educational goals for the school.
2.Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school.
3.Reviewing the annual school building budget.
4.Formulating a school improvement plan.
In the event that we have multiple parents who are interested, and election will be held. Terms of membership expire at the end of two years or when the member’s children are no longer enrolled in the school.

Superintendent's Advisory Council
The Memorial School is looking for a parent representative to sit on Dr. Mardsen's Advisory Council. The group will meet four times per year (October 14th, November 19th, March 18th and April 15th) at 9:30 a.m. to discuss various school related topics. If you are interested in participating, please email me at mbilsborough@email.medfield.net.
On Thursday, as part of International Dot Week celebrations, first grade students participated in a lesson in which they Skyped with children in Baltimore. They shared their dots and even had an opportunity to ask one another questions. Check out Mrs. Groden's Blog (Memorial's Library Media Specialist) for more information Dot Day and the amazing activities that she has planned.
